Adopting from My Fairy Dawg Mother Rescue was more than just getting a dog - I became part of the family. Nikki loves each and every dog that comes under her rescue umbrella, and cares about them and their humans forever. Thank you, MFDM, for bringing me the furever love of my life.

FAQ

Most frequent questions and answers

All our adoptable dogs are in private foster homes and can be viewed by appointment only, after the initial application is approved.

We don’t pull dogs from shelters based on breed, but rather on the basis of whether we can responsibly foster them until they are adopted into the perfect furever home. However, if you would like to submit an application for consideration and indicate that you are looking for certain characteristics, we can keep an eye out for you. If a specific breed of dog is a concern to you, we recommend doing an internet search for a breed-specific rescue, such as Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue.

Each dog that is rescued through our organization is fully vaccinated, micro chipped, and altered. The completion of the scheduled vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery are dependent on age and health related issues. It’s important to us that each pup is healthy as they begin their new lives.

We do not have a single facility where you can meet the dogs, or regular business/office hours. All our dogs are in private foster homes. The best way to meet a dog is to complete an application. Learn more about our adoption process here!

The cost per dog varies based on specific factors, including health, age, size, behavior, among other things. Each dog has their specific adoption fee on their profile.

We do take owner surrenders on a limited basis. There is a $300 surrender fee. Please complete the animal surrender form to initiate the process.

We are unable to provide services for other animals such as cats, bunnies, goats, chickens, etc. We recommend contacting your local animal shelter, or the Denver Dumb Friends League.
