Hi there! My name is Opal, and I am a precious gemstone of a tiny girl with a big sparkling personality! I have beautiful hazel eyes, a spotty body, and big, adorable ears. My coat is the most lovely long and silky hair, but I shed very little. People keep saying I look like a mix between a Chihuahua and a Springer Spaniel.
I am very sweet , affectionate, and will shower you with my tiny kisses as soon as I meet you. There is nothing I love more than to snuggle up to you, and I am an excellent work-from-home buddy.
Sometimes when I get tired, I put myself to bed with my fuzzy blanket and heating pad. If you’re in bed, I might get under your covers and snuggle with you, or sleep on your pillow next to your head, just so I can keep track of you!
Do you like to laugh? Because I will definitely keep you laughing with my hilarious puppy antics, shaking my toys and growling, and I have the best time just throwing my tiny tennis ball around. Do you have a doggy brother or sister with a similar energy level and playful attitude for me to hang out with? I LOVE other dogs! Although I love to play, I am VERY small, so it is important for any kids in my family to be more than five years old and dog savvy! We don’t want anyone to get hurt accidentally!
Also, because I am super-fast and small, I need a secure fence with no open spaces where I could potentially wiggle my way out. Doors are also tempting to me, and I might try to sneak by and run out of the front door or car door. As long as you pick me up before opening any doors, it won’t be a problem.
My foster people also say that I walk well on a leash and I am doing great with going potty. I also really love to go on car rides. My health records show I am up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, spayed, and microchipped.
