Blue is a beautiful 1- to 2-year-old Bluetick Hound with a heart of gold and soulful eyes. With his velvety ears, speckled coat, and athletic build, he turns heads everywhere he goes, but it’s his sweet and loyal personality that will truly win you over. Blue has that rare “go-with-the-flow” energy that makes him the perfect companion for just about anyone. If you’re having a relaxed day at home, he’s more than happy to curl up and keep you company. But if you’re headed out for a hike, a patio lunch, or a morning coffee run- he’s ready and eager to join you.
He’s a fantastic walking buddy and has excellent leash manners (though he may get a bit enthusiastic when he sees another dog- he’s still learning!). He’s fully house-trained, sleeps like a dream, and adjusts beautifully to the rhythms of home life.
Blue is the perfect dog: affectionate, handsome, adaptable, and eager to be part of your world. That said, like many dogs who have experienced instability in their early lives, Blue is still learning that it’s okay to be alone sometimes. He’s working through some separation anxiety and would do best with someone who can be patient, present, and consistent as he builds confidence. He’ll thrive in a home where his people are around more often than not—whether that’s a work-from-home setup, a dog-friendly office, or a family with flexible schedules. Blue is great with kids and would benefit from having respectful children in his forever home.
Blue is also practicing his “quiet voice” when people come to the door. With continued guidance and structure, he’s absolutely capable of polishing up this habit. If you’re looking for a loyal, active, and affectionate dog who’s as happy curled up on the couch as he is exploring the world by your side, Blue might just be your perfect match. Blue has met one cat on leash. He did not seem super interested. He is currently being fostered with another dog, whom he adores. Blue is dog friendly and would benefit from having a live in canine companion to help him feel safe and secure.
