Where does one begin to describe the sweetness inside this girl?
She is about 4 years old, potty trained, and steadily working up to a healthy Redbone weight. She’s currently 60lbs but will likely be close to 70 at her healthiest. Dani was in the pound before coming to MFDM where her caretakers would allow her free roam. They said her heart would break when she had to go back into her pen. She gets along magically with other dogs and is emotionally intelligent – she is fluent in both human and dog body language. You only have to ask Dani once to do something. She aims to please. We think someone useda heavy hand with her. She is rattled easily and looks for a safe spot to hide away. With time and a sense of securitythis will get better. She is quite shy at first but loves to play and LOVES to collect stuffed toys. A canine brother or sister would make Dani really happy. Dani’s second favorite place to be is out in the backyard soaking up warm rays and policing squirrels. Her favorite spot is right next to her human on the couch or snuggled up in bed. Being allowed on furniture will enrich Dani’s life, and to be honest, it will enrich her adopters life too! She’s a snuggle bug that loves to close.
Dani is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment (all treatment expenses will be covered by MFDM). We are hoping to find someone willing to nurse her back to health post treatment and in turn form that unbreakable bond two hearts can through a tough process.
Are you Dani’s forever person?
Dani is currently being fostered in Aurora, Colorado.
