Flora and Fauna were found together, but Fauna was adopted! Flora is ready for someone to make her dreams come true!!

A note from Fauna’s new parents: “Fauna is the sweetest girl and best dog! We are so happy she joined our family. Anyone who has the chance to adopt Flora will be so lucky. These girls are AMAZING and GOOD and SMART and LOVING!”

Flora

This darling black and white speckled baby was found in a drainage ditch in the Northern Denver Metro Area. A good Samaritan rescued her as well as her sister, Fauna. Regardless of the fact that she was neglected and discarded, Flora hasn’t let that affect her one bit. She has a sweet nature to her. She almost always lets Fauna eat first-how cute is that!? She loves basking in the sun and rolling around on the grass.

She is very docile, loving, and enjoys being cuddled close by her humans. Loud noises scare her and she will find the closest spot to take cover. We imagine that given time and confidence she will grow out of this.

Flora is still learning to walk on a leash, after all she is just a baby! And she’s about 90% potty trained, with just a few accidents that have occurred overnight. While she sleeps through the night, she is an early riser. She takes several naps and eats five small meals throughout the day.

Flora has been pre-scheduled to be spayed and to receive her next round of vaccinations. She will not be able to receive her rabies vaccination until she is 12 weeks old. Adopters should keep this in mind as they will need to schedule her rabies vaccination with their own vet as well as her third round of puppy shot. Adopters will need to supply proof of the vaccinations from their vet to ensure we keep up with Department of Agriculture laws set forth. Flora has received her first two rounds of deworming and is microchipped. She is currently being fostered in Aurora, Colorado.
