Strawberry is a one-year-old brindle beauty who gets attention wherever she goes. Her outer beauty is matched by a sweet and playful disposition. She is highly intelligent, intuitive, and eager to learn and please her person.
Strawberry is a QUICK LEARNER! Since being taken in by the MFDM team, she is catching up on all the training she missed in the beginning of life. She gets along great with other dogs of her size and energy, so would love a friend! Strawberry is crate trained, potty-trained, and walks nicely using a gentle leader. When the neighbor kid comes over and takes Strawberry for a walk, it includes time running along with his skateboard. This smart girl is getting used to bicyclists, joggers, birds, and new people. With continued love and attention, her dog manners will only improve!
Strawberry is a big girl, and so needs her person to have experience with dogs. Will you help continue to build her confidence? Are you able to be dedicated to assertive, calm, and consistent with her training? Do you know how to set boundaries and maintain consistent communication? Strawberry has amazing potential for someone wanting to train for obedience or agility. She enjoys learning and showing of her skills. Her foster dad says she is one of the quickest learners of the over 300 dogs he has fostered!
She is good with older children and loves cuddling and playing. Simply because of her size and strong wiggly rump, she might be too much for younger, smaller children. She is athletic, a perfect dog for someone who enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, jogging, etc. Her favorite activities are walking along the river and playing ball, or tug of war. She rides well in a car and loves exploring new scenery.
