Annie is hesitant to approach strangers at first. She is slowly learning that life is okay and that not all humans use a heavy hand. Once she has figured out that you are going to be kind and loving, this shy girl starts to feel confident enough to approach. It should be noted that Annie Bannany is at her best with other dogs!

Her perfect home will have a canine companion that she can romp and play with. They will have a gentle hand and a soft demeanor. They will have a six-foot, secured fence. They will have ample toys that she can toss around with her new canine brother or sister. Her new family will take her on several walks per week and stimulate her mind and nose with the fascinating smells of her new neighborhood.

Annie is still working on her leash skills as she does like to pull in excitement. We think a Gentle Leader would help her a lot in that area. She is potty-trained and understands the use of a dog door. Annie is crate trained, but isn’t a big fan! However, she is not destructive when left unattended.

Annie is not a candidate for off-leash activity as her nose will take her miles from home. And while she hasn’t been cat tested, we are pretty sure she could live with a couple of felines and not have any issues(most Bloodhounds are cat friendly).

Annie is currently being fostered in Arvada, Colorado.

She is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and chipped. She is heartworm positive and started undergoing treatment. The rescue will pay for her entire treatment; there are no out-of-pocket costs to adopters. However, her new family should be well versed in the heartworm treatment protocol.
